“Ted Lasso” star kicks off stand-up comedy tour in Denver this fall

Actor Brett Goldstein, who recently stole viewers’ hearts as foul-mouthed soccer player and coach Roy Kent on the Apple TV series “Ted Lasso,” is preparing to embark on his first U.S. stand-up comedy tour. He’ll be here, he’ll be there, he’ll be every-effing-where – including Denver.

In fact, Goldstein’s “The Second Best Night of Your Life” tour kicks off at the Mile High City’s Buell Theatre on Oct. 5. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. via axs.com following a pre-sale that begins on Wednesday.

In 2021, Goldstein notched two Emmy Awards for his role on “Ted Lasso” and he’s nominated for a third in the category for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series this year. But the wholesome show — during which viewers watch the stone-cold Kent transform into a soft-on-the-inside coach over the course of three seasons — is hardly the only character he’s played recently.
