Woman robbed, carjacked in Oakland hills

OAKLAND — A 67-year-old woman was robbed and carjacked Sunday night by four masked men in the Oakland hills, authorities said.

The woman was not physically injured, authorities said.

Authorities said the woman was driving her 2014 BMW 3351 about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 12100 block of Skyline Boulevard, a residential area not far from Skyline High School, when it was rammed from behind by a white van.

The van then drove in front of the BMW and blocked it.

Four ski-masked men got out of the van and started approaching the BMW, police said.

The woman tried to flee on foot with her purse but one of the suspects grabbed it, got into the BMW and drove off eastbound on Skyline, authorities said.

The other suspects fled in the van.

It was not immediately known if the BMW was later recovered.

Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not released.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3326 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
